Full sole: one continuous piece of sole material runs under the whole foot. There is more resistance under the arch, which is the construction many beginner classes start with.
Grip depends on the floor, its finish, and how it's cleaned. We can only tell you what the bottom is made of.

Fit
Dance shoes are commonly taken 0.5–1 size smaller than everyday shoes, because they are meant to sit close with no slack at the heel. That is a common practice, not a rule. Measure your foot length in millimetres and go by that number, not by the size you usually wear.

Before you buy
Needs sewing
This shoe ships without elastics or ribbons attached — where they sit depends on your foot. The elastic and ribbon kit covers two pairs.
Shoes with elastics or ribbons already sewn on count as altered and cannot be returned.
Suede bottom upkeep
The nap flattens with use and the bottom behaves differently once it does. A steel suede brush lifts it again. Store in an open mesh bag, never sealed in plastic while damp.
