Split sole: two separate pads, one under the ball and one under the heel, with a bare flexible gap at the arch. The shoe bends further at the arch, so the shape of a point reads more clearly.
Grip depends on the floor, its finish, and how it's cleaned. We can only tell you what the bottom is made of.

Fit
This is a wide fit, cut about 8 mm broader across the ball of the foot. Dance shoes are commonly taken 0.5–1 size smaller than everyday shoes, but a wide fit often needs the same length as your everyday size. Measure your foot length in millimetres and go by that number, not by the size you usually wear.

Suede bottom upkeep
The nap flattens with use and the bottom behaves differently once it does. A steel suede brush lifts it again. Store in an open mesh bag, never sealed in plastic while damp.
Return limit
Suede-soled shoes can't be returned once they have been used on a floor. Try them indoors on a clean surface only.
